My Why

Why I chose to become a dietitian

I chose to become a dietitian because I’ve always been interested in the connection between food and health. When I was younger, a dietitian came to speak to my volleyball team, and it was one of the first times I realized just how much of an impact nutrition could have on both our health and our performance. That experience stuck with me and sparked my interest in nutrition.

Over the years, I’ve also learned just how overwhelming nutrition can be. There is so much conflicting information out there that it can be difficult to know what to trust. I’ve also come to understand that nutrition isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach. I believe nutrition should be personalized to each individual. Everyone has different goals, lifestyles, preferences, and challenges, so I want to help clients find an approach that fits into their life. I don’t want nutrition to feel like another set of rules they have to follow or something they have to be perfect at.

My Superpowers

Building on what you’re already doing well

One of my superpowers is recognizing what clients are already doing well. Instead of making someone feel like they need to start from scratch, I build on the habits and strengths they already have and use those as a foundation for change.

I’m also good at making nutrition feel less overwhelming. Rather than asking clients to change everything at once, I help them identify the few changes that are likely to make the biggest difference and focus on those first. This often includes helping clients move away from strict food rules so they can enjoy their favourite foods without guilt or feeling like they’ve “ruined” their diet.

Beyond the Scale

More confidence in your food choices

My goal is to help women feel more confident in their food choices and understand how to nourish their bodies in a way that supports their health and individual goals.

There is so much stigma and guilt surrounding food and weight, and I want to help women move away from the idea that they need to restrict or eliminate their favourite foods in order to be healthy. I want them to understand that all foods can have a place in a balanced diet.

What Clients Say

Your favourite foods still belong

Clients often appreciate that I don’t ask them to give up the foods they enjoy. Sometimes people come in expecting that they’ll be told to cut out their favourite foods or completely change the way they eat, and they’re surprised to learn that nutrition doesn’t have to look like that.

They also appreciate that I make nutrition feel approachable and realistic. Rather than giving clients a long list of rules to follow, I help them make changes that fit into their everyday lives and build habits they can actually maintain long term.

You deserve to feel heard. Supported. And understood.

My Passion

Healthy eating can be enjoyable

I’m passionate about helping people understand that healthy eating doesn’t have to mean restrictive or boring. Nutritious food can be enjoyable, and you don’t have to give up the foods you love to take care of your health.

Whether someone is looking to have more energy, manage a health condition, improve their athletic performance, or simply feel better in their day-to-day life, I want nutrition to feel like something that supports them rather than something they have to worry about.
